Key contract dispute cases
- Acting in injunctive proceedings for a firm of independent financial advisors involving breaches of post termination restrictive covenants by a number of consultants who had resigned taking confidential lists of client data and used that information at a competitor company.
- Acting for a global childrenswear company in the recovery of outstanding sums due from one of its franchise partners following an alleged breach of the master franchise agreement, brand licence and service agreement.
- Acting for a director and shareholder of a debt management company and successfully defending a multi-million pound claim for alleged sums due to a funder under a number of connected purchase and distribution agreements including the inter-relationship with an offshore company.
- Acting for a national agricultural product wholesaler in relation to issues arising from a DEFRA enforcement action. Claims for contractual compensation were significantly mitigated and the issues with DEFRA were resolved.
