Steve has over 30 years’ experience of handling occupational disease claims, acting on behalf of insurers, corporate insureds and captive insurers, and specialising in claims for asbestos-related disease, in particular mesothelioma, and coverage issues arising from such claims.

Current/recent instructions include advising the captive insurer of a major PLC in dispute with its historic EL/PL insurers regarding coverage for mesothelioma claims, defending several high value mesothelioma claims involving substantial lost years/dependency claims arising from ownership of businesses, taking a mesothelioma claim to trial on causation and material increase in risk.
