Sarah joined Weightmans in 2017 and is an Associate in the regulatory team, based in the Liverpool office.
Sarah specialises in road transport regulatory law and advises goods vehicle and passenger transport operator licence holders across all aspects of transport regulation and licensing.
Sarah frequently represents transport companies and transport managers at public inquiry, preliminary hearings and senior team leader meetings before the Traffic Commissioners across the UK, and has extensive experience representing professional drivers at driver conduct hearings.
She also advises licence holders relating to notifications to the regulator following serious incidents such as bridge strikes, load shedding and wheel losses, and represents transport companies undergoing investigation by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), including desk-based assessment audits.
Sarah regularly delivers talks and presentations to professional and trade bodies across the transport sector, including at the Logistics UK transport manager conferences.
She also creates and delivers bespoke training on hot topics and Mock Public Inquiries.
Sarah’s clients include both standard and restricted operator licence holders, and her main focus is to deliver proactive advice which assists in risk mitigation.
