Rikesh has worked at Weightmans since March 2016 and is a Solicitor in the Private Wealth team.

He is based in our Birmingham office and deals with a variety of private client matters. He has experience in:

  • The administration of non-complex and complex estates including both testate and intestate matters.
  • Applying for the relevant exemptions and reliefs for inheritance tax and reporting lifetime gifting to HMRC.
  • Assisting with estates with assets in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Applying for complex Grant applications on behalf of Attorneys or Creditors of estates.
  • Applications to the Court of Protection where Weightmans or individuals wish to apply to be appointed as Deputy.
  • The management of professional financial Court of Protection deputyships.
  • Applications to the Court of Protection where Court approval is required by Deputy or Attorney for complex issues such as Statutory Wills or gifting from an incapacitated persons estate.
  • Lasting Powers of Attorney for both financial affairs and property and health and welfare and acting as Certificate Provider.
