Owen joined Weightmans Real Estate team based in Manchester in December 2023 and is a specialist transactional real estate lawyer with over 20 years’ experience at regional, national and international law firms.

Owen advises on all manner of Real Estate transactions with a strong expertise in the acquisition and on-going management of multi-let office city centre office buildings and out-of-town office parks.

Owen works predominantly with entrepreneurial residential/commercial real estate developers and investors, as well as privately and publicly owned clients operating in the industrial, retail, office and financial services sectors. 

He is known for his commercial and practical approach, which allows him to draft, negotiate and advise on the most complex transactions, including multi-party option agreements, conditional contracts, land promotion agreements, unconditional acquisition and disposal contracts, agreements for lease and leases, and easements.

  • Acted on the acquisition of a landmark multi-let office building in Manchester City Centre on behalf of a privately owned property investment company;
  • Acted on the multi-million pound acquisition of an office park in Chester on behalf of a privately owned property investment company;
  • Acted on the leasehold acquisition of a new-build 170,000 sq ft industrial unit in Warrington on behalf of an independent frozen seafood supplier;
  • Acted on the disposal of an industrial unit on behalf of publicly owned wholesale distributors; and
  • Acted on the multi-million pound acquisition and re-development of six sites for a north-west based care home provider.
