Olivia joined Weightmans in 2025 as an Associate within the Large Loss team based in Manchester. 

Olivia qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2020, specialising in Civil Litigation, but has almost 10 years of experience of handling Personal Injury claims including EL/PL, motor and disease claims. Olivia specialises in dealing with a wide range of catastrophic injury matters and has acted for a number of insurance intermediaries defending complex claims including chronic pain cases, traumatic brain injuries, fatal accidents, amputations and polytrauma claims. She has a particular interest in claims involving allegations of fundamental dishonesty.

Olivia has worked on a number of cases that have been successfully repudiated prior to Trial on the basis of fundamental dishonesty arguments or having mounted a complete liability defence. She has also been actively involved in numerous Joint Settlement Meetings for particularly high value claims where settlement has been achieved at a much lower figure than sought by the opposing party.

As part of her previous role, Olivia wrote an article regarding the case of Mantey v Ministry of Defence (2023) which sought to highlight the difficulties faced by parties when requesting adverse inferences to be drawn in the absence of a witness at Trial and this was published online.
