Nathan is a commercial solicitor and Partner in our Newcastle office, with particular experience in respect of ICT (Information and Communications Technology) and data protection.

Throughout his career so far, Nathan has undertaken a number of secondments and dedicated retainer arrangements with organisations such as SAP, KCOM, Nissan and Arriva, along with periods covering sole in-house counsel and data protection manager roles.

Nathan’s experience includes preparing and negotiating software licences and SAAS subscription agreements, along with being involved in software development projects. For telecoms clients, his wide experience has ranged from fibre installation contracts to provision of premium-rate phone services, VOIP and broadband offerings.

In respect of data protection, Nathan has advised organisations on UK GDPR and GDPR compliance, provided detailed training and advised on data breaches and detailed subject access requests.

Nathan also has considerable experience preparing terms and conditions for the sale and purchase of goods and services (including digital products), and preparing shareholders’ agreements and partnership agreements. Nathan regularly reports on risk to clients in respect of large-scale procurements, including the provision of goods and services to the public sector.
