Maqadas Ali

Maqadas (known as Ali) Joined the firm in September 2021. He has experience in a broad range of real estate matters and can assist with:

 

• Acquisitions and disposals of commercial properties such as offices, retail stores, factories, warehouses, restaurants, takeaways, cafés and pubs;
• Commercial leasing and asset management transactions involving conditional agreements for lease (including with large-scale building works), leases (including on renewal) and related licences, concession agreements and option agreements. Ali has experience acting for both landlord and tenant clients across the education, retail, leisure, manufacturing and office sectors;
• Land development projects including working with commercial developers and house builders regarding all aspects of land acquisitions and disposals that involve drafting and negotiating conditional contracts, overage agreements, promotion and option agreements;
• Property finance and advising borrowers and lenders on the real estate aspects of finance transactions including investment and development finance.

 

Outside of work

Ali enjoys spending time with his young family and playing football and cricket

Experience

• Acting for institutional client in acquisition of a large Industrial multi use estate for £15.5 million.
• Acting for a large retailer in acquiring a lease of its London office with an annual rental value of £1 million.
• Assisting universities and local authorities with management of its estates including delivering on a project that required leases to be granted of over 40 properties to numerous tenants.
• Acting for housing developers through their development journey from securing finance and acquiring land to completing development and disposal.
• Advising international logistic companies in acquiring long leases of newly built units within industrial estates.
