Luke is an Associate based in our Liverpool office. Luke joined Weightmans in 2019 and has specialised in employment law since achieving qualification in 2021.

Luke routinely manages a varied caseload of Tribunal claims relating to unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing, breach of contract, pay disputes and more. Luke conducts advocacy in the Employment Tribunal and has a strong track record of success in this area. Luke also has experience of managing Tribunal cases in Northern Ireland.

In addition to contentious matters, Luke advises clients on the full range of employment law issues including disciplinaries, grievances, sickness absence processes, criminal conduct, whistleblowing, redundancy, policies, contracts, recruitment, settlement agreements, TUPE and more.

Luke has completed a six-month client secondment within the legal team of a national logistics organisation that employs over 100,000 people. Luke therefore has a thorough understanding of the key considerations at play for organisations when faced with employment law issues. This allows Luke to provide measured and commercial guidance to clients.

Luke supports clients across a range of sectors, such as logistics, distribution, energy, social housing, education and local authorities. Luke therefore has a well-rounded experience of employment law issues and the ability to tailor his approach accordingly.
