Luisa is a Partner in the Catastrophic and Large Loss team based in the Manchester office.
Luisa is an experienced large loss personal injury lawyer working with major insurers, corporate bodies and SMEs in defending personal injury claims. This includes dealing with complex liability arguments in employers’ and public liability and motor claims. Luisa deals with the whole spectrum of serious injuries including but not limited to brain and spinal injuries with a particular interest in pain and functional neurological disorder cases.
Luisa has managed key client relationships partnering with key stakeholders to deliver strategies to manage risk both in the prevention of accidents and approaches to specific injury types working as part of special interest groups.
Luisa recognises the importance of excellence in delivery being achieved through a strong, collegiate team internally working closely with the client to achieve the right result.
In dealing with pain and FND cases where symptoms may not always be genuine Luisa has been successful in completely defending cases with several findings of fundamental dishonesty. Where there has not been enough evidence to secure such a finding settlement sums have been drastically reduced where exaggeration is in issue with costs following form making low Part 36 offers.
