Kate is a Principal Associate in Weightmans’ Local Government team based in our Birmingham Office.

She is a public sector specialist with 13 years’ experience. Kate acts for many Local Authorities across England and deals with a range of employers’ and public liability claims, and public inquiries.

Kate has particular expertise in highways to include claims, definitions, public rights of way and policy issues - having won numerous cases at trial. She has also worked with highway authorities on revising codes of practice in light of the risk based changes.

Kate is adept at social care and HRA claims with a particular specialism in group actions.
