James is an Associate solicitor in the Specialty team of Weightmans, based in the London office.
James acts primarily for insurers and advises on construction and engineering disputes. He is experienced in dealing with the management of Building Guarantee claims relating to fire safety and structural issues, providing advice on policy response and recoveries.
James advises in relation to insurance claims arising out of alleged breaches of contract and breaches of duty. This includes matters relating to Professional Indemnity and Property Damage as well as broader construction disputes.
James advises insurers on the interpretation of policy wording and coverage issues, as well as subrogated recovery claims arising out of failures in large construction projects.
