Jade is a Principal Associate based in our Liverpool office within the Casualty Police team. She specialises in defending actions against the police and represents several police forces in England and Wales.

Jade specialises in defending civil actions against the police. She handles a varied caseload of malfeasance claims including employers’ liability, negligence, and public liability claims such as false imprisonment, assault, malicious prosecution and misfeasance actions. Jade also advises police forces on claims alleging breaches of the Human Rights Act and the Equality Act, as well data protection matters, and judicial review claims issued against police forces. 

Jade has worked on high profile and complex cases including several cases regarding the use of a taser by police officers and whether such use was lawful.

Jade has also assisted on a case which was heard in the Supreme Court.
