National law firm, Weightmans, has announced an exciting new partnership with two respected players making waves in the world of ESG consulting/advisory.
The partnership with Stories Evolved and Paragon Impact means Weightmans can now offer complete, end-to-end solutions for the ESG needs of all businesses, covering legal, training, and consulting, as well as tech and data management services for high quality ESG disclosures.
Simon Colvin, partner who leads Weightmans’s ESG programme, said:
“We are very excited to finally be able to announce our new partnership with Stories Evolved and Paragon Impact. Both are leading organisations in the international ESG arena that share our values and commitment to sustainability and understand our ambition to be one of the UK’s most socially and environmentally conscious law firms.
“Together, we will be able to offer businesses across the UK a truly unique offering as they look to improve their impact on society and the environment. Currently a business must go through multiple entities for their ESG needs: consultants, training agencies, lawyers, and a data management service provider to manage ESG data for themselves and their suppliers/trading partners. With this new partnership, we will provide a single touch point for end-to-end ESG needs, cutting the time and energy required by businesses to coordinate between multiple service providers engaged for training, legal and data management services.”
Christina Bartholomew, co-founder of Stories Evolved, said:
“Businesses know that accelerating regulations and stakeholder expectations make ESG a question of credibility and trust. What they’re struggling with is how to manage these risks and drive opportunity off the back of this momentum. Our partnership with Weightmans and Paragon Impact offers an end-to-end solution to this challenge. Together, our deep and unique experience, capacities, insights and tools ensure that clients can approach ESG with evidence-based, comprehensive strategies for success.”
Brett Wallington, CEO, Paragon Impact, said:
"We are thrilled to partner with Weightmans and Stories Evolved, equipping businesses with cutting-edge, impact tech that will empower continued leadership in ESG. Together, we are enabling Weightmans to not only enhance its own sustainability practices but also to drive meaningful ESG progress for its clients to make sustainable profits. This partnership exemplifies our commitment to providing the tools necessary for businesses to make a real, measurable impact on the world."
The news comes after Weightmans received the highest Platinum rating by EcoVadis, a global sustainability rating provider, positioning the firm in the top 1% of legal and accounting businesses globally for ESG/sustainability performance and processes. In July 2024, the firm leaped from Silver to Platinum after scoring high in the following areas: Environment, Ethics, Labor and Human Rights and Sustainable Procurement, all of which were rated good and above.
This was followed by it achieving ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certifications for the fifth year in a row, providing further recognition for the firm’s sustainability policies, including its commitment to becoming Net Zero by 2030.
