Terry qualified in 1987 with London insurance
law firm Elborne Mitchell. He has practiced maritime law all
his career and joined Weightmans as a partner in May
2006.
He deals with all aspects of maritime law and
has considerable litigation experience in the Admiralty and
Commercial Court, Mercantile Courts and in London maritime
arbitrations and mediation. He acts for ship owners,
charterers, cargo interests and their insurers. Areas of
practice include collision, salvage, carriage of goods by sea,
charter party disputes, ship building and repair, marine enquiries
and investigations and marine policy coverage.
He is a member of the London Maritime
Arbitrators Association and regularly contributes articles to
shipping publications.
