Andrew qualified in 1991 and became a partner
in 1997. He is Director of our national Public Sector
Group.
Andrew has experience of all types of public
sector litigation, advising both local and fire authorities. He has
handled a wide variety of cases including occupier’s, employers'
and public liability claims involving duty of care and performance
of statutory duties issues. He has also been involved in
judicial review proceedings.
Andrew has acted for public bodies in the
higher courts on many occasions and is especially skilled in
defending education and social service type claims. For example, he
is currently proceeding to the Supreme Court in a claim alleging a
breach of human rights arising from the provision of education. He
is a member of ELAS.
