Personalisation - The Legislation and Where We are Going
We are inviting London boroughs to attend a
free half day seminar on the Personalisation agenda at Weightmans
London Office.
We will be discussing legal developments and
challenges in transforming social care with speakers addressing
children's services, adults' services and health care.
It will be an opportunity to meet up with
other local authority solicitors and chief officers of children and
adult services. For solicitors it is also a chance to obtain CPD
points. A buffet lunch will be provided. The seminar is free of
charge .

10.05 - Morris Hill, Associate Solicitor – The Personalisation
Agenda in
Children’s
Services
Morris will be speaking on the evolution and
implementation of personalisation in children’s services including
the amended direct payments legislation, relevant case law thoughts
for the future.
10.50 - Sallie Harrington, Associate Solicitor
– The Personalisation Agenda in
Adult’s Services
Sallie will be discussing the development of
legislation along side of the policy and issues arising in
implementation e.g. in respect of Resource Allocation Systems and
self directed support, payments to third parties, charging,
commissioning of services, “brokers” and integrated working.

11.55 - Kiran Bhogal, Partner – The Personalisation Agenda in
Health Care
Kiran will be looking at the evolution of
personalisation in health care including personal health budgets
and the introduction of direct payments for health care.
